Abu Qir Fertilizers Participates in the 32nd Annual International Conference of the Arab Fertilizer Association and Sponsors Its Activities with a Distinguished Pavilion at the Accompanying Exhibition
As part of its commitment to supporting the development of the fertilizer industry, Abu Qir Fertilizers and Chemical Industries Company participated in the 32nd Annual International Conference of the Arab Fertilizer Association (AFA) and its accompanying exhibition, held in Cairo under the theme “Sustainable Environment and Safe Food.” The event witnessed broad participation from ministers, senior government officials, decision-makers, industry leaders, fertilizer experts, and representatives of international companies and organizations.
The Company’s participation as a Platinum Sponsor reflects its leading role and distinguished position as one of the largest fertilizer producers in the region, as well as its ongoing commitment to supporting initiatives and events that contribute to industry development, foster cooperation, and facilitate the exchange of expertise.
Underscoring the strategic importance of the fertilizer industry as a cornerstone of food security and economic development, the conference was inaugurated by H.E. Eng. Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, on behalf of H.E. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, in the presence of H.E. Eng. Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and H.E. Eng. Khaled Hashem, Minister of Industry, alongside a distinguished group of executives, experts, and specialists from the fertilizer, energy, agriculture, and sustainability sectors.

Abu Qir Fertilizers showcased its latest activities, products, development projects, and future plans through a distinguished pavilion at the accompanying exhibition. The Company also highlighted its efforts in sustainability, energy efficiency, digital transformation, and carbon footprint reduction, reflecting its commitment to adopting global best practices and enhancing the competitiveness of the Egyptian fertilizer industry in regional and international markets.
In this context, H.E. Eng. Hany El Dahy, Chairman and Managing Director, emphasized that Abu Qir Fertilizers’ participation in the conference extends beyond attendance, encompassing active representation in the advisory council, technical and specialized committees, and expert working groups. The Company also held numerous bilateral meetings with representatives of international companies and institutions to explore opportunities for cooperation, exchange expertise, and identify new avenues for expansion and strategic partnerships that support its sustainable growth objectives.

He further stated that the Company continues to develop its strategic vision in cooperation with McKinsey & Company, with the aim of enhancing productivity, optimizing energy consumption, accelerating digital transformation, reducing carbon emissions, and developing new value-added products.
