Abu Qir Fertilizers Participates in the 37th Technical Conference of the Arab Fertilizers Association
Abu Qir Fertilizers and Chemical Industries Company participated in the activities of the 37th Technical Conference of the Arab Fertilizers Association (AFA), held from 16 to 18 September 2025 at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Benguerir, Morocco. The Company’s delegation was headed by Eng. Hany Dahy, Chairman and Managing Director.
This participation comes as part of the Company’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Arab and international organizations specialized in the fertilizer industry, and in line with its active role in providing platforms for the exchange of knowledge and expertise on the latest operating practices and technical solutions. Such efforts aim to enhance production efficiency, develop environmentally friendly and sustainable products, open new avenues for cooperation among companies to meet food security requirements, and strengthen commercial relations and market expansion.
The conference witnessed broad participation from leading Arab and international companies, specialized consulting firms, technology developers, equipment suppliers, and producers.
The conference agenda featured a comprehensive program of scientific sessions and technical discussions addressing the latest global technologies across all segments of the fertilizer industry, from raw materials to innovative solutions and advanced technological applications. These sessions were presented by a distinguished group of industry leaders, licensors, technology providers, EPC contractors, equipment and spare parts suppliers, as well as catalysts and chemical manufacturers.
In this context, Eng. Hany Dahy stated that Abu Qir Fertilizers’ participation in the conference went beyond attendance, extending to active representation and engagement within advisory councils, technical and specialized committees, and dedicated working groups, in addition to holding several productive bilateral meetings with major global companies. This, he noted, reflects the Company’s leading position and strategic role in the fertilizer industry. He added that through such participation, Abu Qir Fertilizers seeks to exchange expertise and explore the adoption of smart solutions to enhance its ability to address global economic challenges and achieve balanced growth rates.
He further emphasized that Abu Qir Fertilizers, with its extensive experience in the nitrogen fertilizer industry, will continue to be a key supporter of food security initiatives, underscoring that fertilizer plants are no longer merely production units, but rather strategic economic and investment assets that play a pivotal role in driving sustainable development.
