Tarek El Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, regarding the importance of keeping value-added industries abreast of modern technological developments and leveraging global best practices, Abu Qir Fertilizers has commenced the full operational phase (Go-Live) of its digital transformation project (SAP). This initiative is a key pillar of the petroleum sector’s strategic plan and encompasses all industry activities.
Guided by the vision of Eng. Abed Ezz El-Regal, Chairman and Managing Director of Abu Qir Fertilizers, the company aims to implement the highest standards of corporate governance and a comprehensive digital strategy to enhance performance, streamline work systems, and improve operational efficiency. The project establishes a unified digital platform linking the company’s technical and financial activities, providing accurate, real-time data to support faster decision-making and effective challenge management through modern technological tools.

This collaboration has successfully ushered in a new era for the company as the first fertilizer company in Egypt to integrate a smart digital system across all its financial and operational activities.
Abu Qir Fertilizers is also the first company in the fertilizer and petrochemical sector in Egypt to implement SAP Signavio for process development using artificial intelligence, enabling optimal process design, maximum flexibility, cost efficiency, and ongoing benchmarking against industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.
