Abstract

The 9th International Conference on Theoretical and Applied Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (TANN 2025)

This study investigates the photocatalytic treatment of industrial wastewater using nanocrystalline titanium dioxide and zinc oxide catalysts. The results demonstrated superior performance of TiO₂ nanoparticles in degrading organic dye pollutants under ultraviolet irradiation, attributed to their smaller particle size, higher effective surface area, and reduced electron–hole recombination. The study highlights the potential of nanophotocatalysts as an efficient and sustainable solution for industrial wastewater treatment.
