Abu Qir Fertilizers and Chemicals Wins “Top 100 Companies in Egypt 2020” Award

In a new and proud achievement, Abu Qir Fertilizers and Chemicals was awarded the “Top 100 Best Performing Companies in the Egyptian Economy for 2020.”

The award was presented during the 6th edition of the Egypt for the Best Summit, held on Sunday, February 28, 2021, at the Nile Ritz-Carlton Hotel, under the auspices of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly. The event was attended by 9 ministers and over 400 executive leaders from leading institutions and companies operating in Egypt. The ceremony was organized by Amwal Al Ghad magazine in collaboration with Excellence PR & Government Relations Agency.

The award was presented by Dr. Nevine Gamea, Minister of Trade and Industry, on behalf of the Prime Minister, to Chemist Saad Abu El-Maati, Chairman and Managing Director of Abu Qir Fertilizers and Chemicals. The ceremony celebrated individuals and companies that made the most significant impact on the Egyptian economy in 2020, achieving exceptional successes despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Top 100 Companies in Egypt 2020 Award

The summit is considered one of the key events enhancing community dialogue and participation between the government, the business community, and civil society, while also promoting the role of Egyptian women in achieving sustainable development across various sectors.

The recognition of Abu Qir Fertilizers and Chemicals underscores its leading role in supporting the Egyptian economy, assisting farmers during the pandemic, supporting national initiatives for sustainable development, and contributing effectively to social, scientific, and environmental progress.

This year’s honorees included the Top 100 publicly listed companies in Egypt based on their performance. Additionally, the summit introduced achievement awards for individuals and companies demonstrating exceptional success during the year.

The rankings were based on in-depth studies of the largest and most important companies listed on the Egyptian Exchange, using precise research and classification methods, while adhering to neutrality, transparency, and scientific methodologies in collaboration with leading financial and research institutions.

It is noteworthy that Abu Qir Fertilizers and Chemicals has received numerous ISO certificates for excellence and quality, the Gold Medal from the International Fertilizer Association for Industrial Excellence in 2020 for the second consecutive year, in addition to the Protection and Sustainability Certificate and the Arab Fertilizer Association Award in HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment).
