Ammonia Ship-loading Facilities (Marine line)

The marine line represents a key milestone in the company’s strategy to optimize the use of available resources and energy. The facility was established in 1990 to export surplus liquid ammonia through a dedicated pipeline system extending 8,000 meters along the seabed of Abu Qir Bay, in addition to a fully equipped marine berth designed to receive ammonia tankers.

Initial operations were launched with the capability to load tankers of up to 5,000 tons of liquid ammonia.

As part of the company’s continuous development efforts to enhance performance and operational efficiency, a comprehensive revamp was later implemented. This upgrade successfully increased the loading capacity of the export line, enabling it to handle tankers with capacities of up to 11,000 tons.
