Occupational Health & Safety Management Safety

It is noteworthy that the company has obtained a certificate of conformity with OHSAS 18001, as the first fertilizer company in Egypt to obtain this certificate.

Laboratory Management System as per ISO/IEC 17025

Abu Qir Fertilizers Company (AFC) testing laboratories have established and maintained a Laboratory Management System as per ISO/IEC 17025 and have been accredited by the Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC) since 2010. This accreditation demonstrates that AFC laboratories operate in full conformity with the requirements of the latest edition of the internationally recognized standard:ISO/IEC 17025:2017.

Furthermore, AFC laboratories routinely participate in proficiency testing programs“PT” organized by leading international providers to ensure the continued validity and reliability of their measurement results. In addition, the Laboratory Management System undergoes regular assessments by qualified technical and managerial assessors from EGAC to verify ongoing compliance with the requirements of the International Standard.

AFC’s Testing Laboratories Management is committed to delivering the highest levels of accuracy, reliability, and efficiency when performing analyses for various production units within the company. It also aims to expand its services by attracting external customers seeking high-quality analytical testing performed by competent, accredited laboratories.

IFA Protect and Sustain Product Stewardship Excellence

Abu Qir Fertilizers has achieved this certificate in March 2017.

IFA P&S principles aim is maintaining business continuity, protecting employees, optimizing the use of resources, preserving the environment, care of farmers needs and preventing the misuse of products.

IFA 12 HSE principles is reviewed annually by external auditors from SGS.
